The concepts taught in this partial 5-hour course are a deep dive into the foundation of shooting.  You will be using the red dot to fine tune technique to gain an abundance of skill and self-diagnose using the red dot as a tool of refinement.

This course is ideal for the shooter that wants to take it up a notch and really understand the intricacies of shooting and balancing speed and accuracy.  This is the first half of the full 8-hour course where we build the foundation discussing zeroing, biomechanics, advanced fundamentals including grip, trigger control, presentation, and detailing the draw from a holster.

Course Length

Course Prerequisites

Defensive Handgun 1 or Instructor Pass

Required Gear
  • Handgun with Red Dot properly INSTALLED
  • Holster (outside waist band, strong side only, good condition, properly fits gun, maintains shape when firearm is removed, ability to re-holster with strong hand only, mounted to a proper belt)
  • Ability to keep at least 40 rounds on your person
  • 3 magazines
  • 200-300 rounds
  • Eye and Ear Protection
  • Close toed shoes
