  • Cancellations 30+ Days Prior: Cancellations made 30 days or more prior to the class start date are eligible for a full refund. Certain exclusions may apply depending on the specific course.
  • Cancellations 8 to 29 Days Prior: Cancellations made between 8 and 29 days prior to the class start date are not eligible for a refund, but the student may transfer their registration to a future class date or receive a store credit without penalty.

  • Punctuality: Classes begin promptly at the scheduled time. To minimize disruption and ensure safety, late arrivals will not be permitted to participate, and tuition will be forfeited.
  • Tuition Validity: Paid class tuition remains valid for exactly 12 months from the date of purchase.
  • Facility Cancellations: If The Range St. Louis West cancels a class due to inclement weather, instructor illness, or failure to meet the minimum student requirement, registered students will receive a full credit to attend the class at a later date or the option for a full refund.
  • Hosted Classes (Outside Organizations): Classes hosted at The Range St. Louis West but instructed by outside organizations may be refunded or rescheduled if requested at least 30 days prior to the class. No refunds or rescheduling will be permitted within 29 days of the hosted class. If the host organization cancels due to low enrollment or other reasons, students will be notified and given the option to move to an alternative date or receive a refund according to the host’s specific policies.

2. Membership Agreements

  • Term & Auto-Renewal: Memberships require an initial 12-month commitment. Following the completion of the initial 12-month period, memberships will automatically continue on a month-to-month basis until canceled in accordance with these rules and policies.
  • Acceptance and Modification: By executing a Membership Application, the applicant agrees to be fully bound by these Range Rules and Policies. The Range St. Louis West reserves the right to amend and modify the Range Rules and Policies of Membership, pricing, and all associated benefits at any time with reasonable prior notice to members.
  • Authorization: The applicant authorizes the disclosure and release of information to The Range St. Louis West for the purpose of investigating membership qualifications, which may include background checks.
  • Code of Conduct & Breach of Policies: Members, their guests, and family members must strictly adhere to all facility safety rules and standard operating procedures. In the event of a breach of these Range Rules and Policies, or any safety violation, The Range St. Louis West reserves the right to immediately terminate the membership. In such an event, the initial Membership Fee and any prepaid dues will be forfeited and not refunded.
  • Cancellation: Upon expiration of the initial 12-month agreement, the member may cancel their membership at any time by providing at least 15 days’ written notice prior to their next scheduled billing cycle.
  • Release and Indemnification: The member agrees to fully release, indemnify, and hold harmless The Range St. Louis West as specifically set forth in the formal signed Membership Agreement and Facility Liability Waiver.

3. Merchandise Returns, Special Orders, and Services

  • Returns: Eligible returns for general merchandise must be initiated within 30 days of the original purchase date and must be accompanied by the original receipt or proof of purchase. Refunds will be issued to the original method of payment.
  • Condition: All returned items must be in their original, unopened packaging, undamaged, and in 100% resalable condition.
  • Special Orders: Any requested cancellations of special order items prior to fulfillment will incur a 25% restocking fee based on the purchase price of the item.
  • Exclusions: Clearance items, completed special orders, customized items, and personal protective equipment (PPE, such as ear and eye protection) are strictly final sale and cannot be returned due to hygiene and safety reasons.

4. Firearms and Ammunition

  • Final Sale: Due to safety regulations and legal liabilities, all sales of firearms, NFA items, and ammunition are strictly final. No returns, refunds, or exchanges are permitted under any circumstances once the item has been transferred to the buyer.
  • Failed Background Checks (NICS Denials): If a customer purchases a firearm but is denied during the background check process, the customer will be given two options:
    • Appeal Process: The customer may choose to file an official appeal. The Range St. Louis West will securely hold the purchased firearm in our inventory while the appeal process plays out.
    • Cancellation: The customer may choose to cancel the sale entirely. The refund for the canceled sale will be subject to a $50 restocking fee to cover administrative time and inventory costs.
    • Note: Background check fees and transfer fees are non-refundable in both scenarios.

5. Gunsmithing and Modification Services

  • Scope of Work: All firearms are accepted for service based strictly on the customer’s requested scope of work. Any additional necessary work or parts identified during inspection will require secondary authorization from the customer prior to execution.
  • Estimates: All provided prices and lead times are estimates based on modern firearms. These are subject to change depending on the specific condition of the individual firearm, parts availability, and the actual labor required.
  • Right of Refusal: The Range St. Louis West reserves the right to decline service and return any firearm, without charge, if it cannot be repaired, modified, or completed without an excessive commitment of time, or if the requested modification poses a safety risk. If a repair is deemed unfeasible or cost-prohibitive, the firearm will be returned in the condition it was received.
  • Liability Limitation (Incompatible Parts): The Range St. Louis West is not liable for any damage, malfunctions, or performance issues resulting from incompatible parts, improperly manufactured components, or parts that fall outside of Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) specifications.
  • Liability Limitation (Customer Modifications): We are not responsible for the performance, reliability, or safety of aftermarket parts, customer-supplied components, or modified configurations. This explicitly includes, but is not limited to, binary triggers, “super safety” or forced-reset devices, and custom trigger work outside of manufacturer specifications. Installation of such components is performed entirely at the customer’s request and assumption of risk.
  • Function and Reliability: Firearms modified from factory specifications may exhibit reduced reliability and require ongoing maintenance. The Range St. Louis West does not guarantee the function or reliability of any firearm modified outside of its factory design. Fitment issues may require additional billable labor and are not guaranteed.
  • Incidental Damages: The Range St. Louis West is not liable for incidental or consequential damages, including but not limited to loss of use, ammunition damage, additional firearm wear, or the failure of aftermarket components.
  • Testing and Safety: Firearms may be test-fired by our staff to verify basic function. It remains the strict responsibility of the customer to verify the firearm operates safely following any modification or repair. (Note: Customers may be billed for test ammunition) .
  • Warranties: No warranty is expressed or implied on customer-supplied parts or firearms modified outside of manufacturer specifications. Any labor warranty provided applies exclusively to the workmanship performed by our staff and does not cover the failure of the parts themselves.
  • Abandoned Property: Firearms or equipment left at the facility and not picked up within thirty (30) days of service completion notification will begin accruing a storage fee of $25 per month. Items not picked up within ninety (90) days of the original notification will be considered legally abandoned property. Abandoned firearms may be disposed of or sold to cover accumulated labor and storage debts, in strict accordance with Missouri state and federal laws.
  • Acknowledgment: By submitting a firearm for service, repair, modification, or evaluation, the customer explicitly acknowledges and agrees to all terms outlined in this section.

6. General Provisions

  • Right to Refuse Service: The Range St. Louis West reserves the right to refuse service, facility access, or sales to anyone who appears to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol, exhibits unsafe behavior, or fails to comply with facility policies and range safety rules.
  • Governing Law: These Range Rules and Policies shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Missouri.
  • Severability: If any provision of these Range Rules and Policies is found to be invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect, and the invalid provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable.
